Heaping plates of spot prawns, unique to Alaska’s icy waters, are coveted by Alaskans.  Their unique lobster-like taste is sure to be relished by every seafood lover at your table.  Spot prawns are a valued indulgence or a healthful and soul-satisfying gift for those you wish to make feel special.  Local legend Larry Painter, who pioneered the commercial pot shrimp fisheries in Southeast Alaska, has been instrumental in protecting and providing for the sustainability of this wonderful delicacy. 

Each of these prawns is hand selected as it is reverently removed from the pots on the deck of the fishing vessel Wendy Anne.  The prawns are immediately flushed with seawater, packed frozen and twice glazed, to retain their extraordinary flavor and succulent texture.  Larry’s passion for Alaska and commitment to provide only the best is evident in every bite.
